Bit of a personal blog this time,
My daughter is running the Great North Run this Sunday and there are a lot of similarities between training for this fantastic event and starting your own business.
You need stamina for both, mentally and physically. Plenty of training and research into the preparation for the event and at the forefront, belief in what you are trying to achieve.
I am bowled over by the amount of graft she has put into the race, which she is doing on behalf of http://www.epilepsyresearch.org.uk/ which is close to our hearts since she started suffering with unknown seizures over a year ago.
Ever the battler, she responded to these in a positive fashion by starting to train and has combined this with an excellent first year at University.
I am full of admiration for her and everyone raising money for this years race and really looking forward to seeing it all unfold in Newcastle this weekend.
