A functional speciality and previous experience of working on non-UK assignments would be great, as would any European language skills. You have broad business savvy and are able to communicate with high-level candidates.

You will need to be able demonstrate the ability not just to “sell”, but also to keep clients happy in the long term. You will understand the need to manage your revenue pipeline rather than living from deal to deal.
