New Head Office for Permanent People!

Today marks an exciting day in the history of Permanent People, as the company moves in to a brand new Head Office in the heart of Cardiff’s city centre.

Being based in the prestigious Capital Tower, a landmark building overlooking many of Cardiff’s fantastic attractions, gives Permanent People the perfect location to continue it’s growth into 2016 and cements the reputation of the company as the Rec2Rec of choice for many of the best recruitment businesses in Wales.

It also allows the company to be completely accessible to recruiters who are looking to discuss a career move and the central location makes it convenient for those considering their options to meet with the Permanent People team before or after work, or during their lunch break.

On making the move, director Paul Reid commented:

“I’m personally very proud that Permanent People has made the move to an iconic building based in central Cardiff and I think it gives us the ideal platform to build on what we’ve been achieving over the past two years. We’ve developed some great relationships with recruitment businesses across South Wales and the UK and helped lots of people find a new recruitment job or way into recruitment, which is what I wanted to do when I started the business. Now, with a very good team in place now, it’s nice to be able to be a located in such a convenient place so we can meet with our local clients and candidates to discuss their recruitment or career with them. We even have clients a couple of doors away and some we just have to nip into the lift to see!”

The growth of Permanent People, who began life in 2013, has been remarkable in such a short space of time, and with their Bristol office currently helping businesses there with their recruitment, the Cardiff based Rec2Rec are now in the perfect position to continue to help recruiters across the UK and Internationally with their plans for the future.

Today, Permanent People turns 13.
Apparently, that means we’re now officially a teenager.

So, I’m expecting slightly more attitude, questionable fashion choices and for nobody to listen to a word I say.

When I started the business in 2013, I certainly didn’t have a detailed 13-year plan.

The aim was fairly simple: build a good recruitment business, work with people I liked and do things in a way that felt right.

Over the years, Permanent People has grown and changed more than I could have imagined.

We’ve gone from being predominantly UK-focused to placing recruiters across Europe, the USA, Australia, Asia, the Middle East and South Africa.

We’ve built relationships with more than hundreds of recruitment businesses.

We’ve helped recruiters move sectors, step into leadership roles, relocate across the world and, in some cases, completely change the direction of their lives.

We’ve also remained profitable in every year we’ve traded, including Covid and several recruitment markets that could politely be described as “character-building”.

And we’ve built a name and brand for ourselves beyond what I could ever imagined.

But the part I’m proudest of is the way we’ve grown.
We’re still a small, close-knit team.
We still care about getting the right outcome rather than simply making the quickest placement.

And we’ve never tried to become something we’re not.

A huge amount of the credit goes to @louisecooperreid, @loveshoes1981 and @beelong83 who have helped shape Permanent People into the business it is today.

There have been brilliant years, difficult years and a few months when I’ve refreshed the company bank account more often than was probably healthy.

But 13 years later, I still genuinely enjoy what we do.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has worked with us, trusted us with their career, introduced us to somebody or simply supported the business along the way.

Permanent People is now entering its teenage years.
