The Role

The Ideal Candidate

You will possess existing experience within the Recruitment industry, ideally coming from a Digital/Creative recruitment background.

You will be a well-presented and credible individual with effective communication skills. You should have a strong track record of achievement in your previous roles and must be organised and able to work autonomously. You should be a self-motivated, self-starter.

You will have a good understanding of the industry and as this is an existing desk, you must be strong on building and developing relationships, further expanding on business but also identifying new business opportunities.

Permanent People have been engaged to work alongside a global recruitment brand, who are hiring for a brand new position at Director level, for their New York office.

The Position & Sector

This role will be managing the strategy for the Contract division within the Creative recruitment sector in the New York area for a team around the 25 people mark in number. There is an already established team in place, and this newly created opportunity will oversee the day-to-day growth, business and metrics within.

It will be hands on, meaning that you will be responsible for driving the business forward, through delivery of numbers and KPI’s. People management will also form a key part of this role, as our client are looking for an contract recruitment leader to help to evolve the division into greater profitability.

Working, and building a network within the Creative and Marketing sectors across New York will be pivotal, and encouraging your team to continue as a market leader will also be essential.

Strong analytical, business and strategy skills are paramount, as is the ability to forecast effectively, and maximise opportunities.

Candidate Background

  • An extensive contract recruitment background is essential
  • This will come from having worked within the contract recruitment industry for a minimum of 6-7 years – so we’re looking for a true expert
  • Sector experience within the Creative industry would be preferable, but in no way essential
  • Local market (NYC or US)) knowledge, or experience of having worked contract roles in the US would, again, be advantageous
  • This role is also open to a relocating recruitment professional, who is looking for a senior level recruitment opportunity in New York – so Visa’s a full relocation are available
