Recruitment – Business Development Manager in Manchester
Permanent People are working closely with an established recruitment agency specialising in the Energy and Oil & gas sector. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their successful team in Manchester.

The position will concentrate on growing new, large scale business across the EMEA and wider global market-place. A previous background in being able to evidence past success in achieving this in a similar BD or 360 recruitment role is absolutely essential for this position.
You will be working closely with the commercial team, on risk analysis reviews helping to secure profitable contacts. Keeping in line with the worldwide solidarity you will be liaising closely with colleagues in the region and globally to share leads, approaches and concepts.
This will all be within the Energy sector and be purely BD focused with support from a delivery team handling the day-to-day duties involved in running the contracts. The Business Development Manager will be solely responsible for this function within our client’s business and managing a team will be part of the role, going forward.
This role would suit a hands on proactive recruiter with a direct and no nonsense mentality and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Our client is looking a self-motivated ambitious entrepreneur with a focused of goal and responsibility of finding business opportunities, projects and clients.
You must have:
- Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience in services provision in international business development
- Proven track record of ability to develop new business within the Energy sector
- Strong network within Energy sector
- If you have extensive business development experience from another technical sector, that will be considered
Bachelor’s degree – preferably within a technical or business discipline
