International Relocation in Recruitment!!

As Permanent People have grown and evolved, on a daily basis, we are now involved with helping recruiters from all over the globe find new jobs in great locations.

With the inception of the business, the idea was to provide an effective Rec2Rec service to those based in the UK, particularly in South Wales, Bristol and London. Whilst this hasn’t changed in our four years, a while back, we had companies and individuals ask us if we could help them in varying corners of the globe.

So I thought “Why not?!”

A lot of learning has taken place and looking into the logistics of how we would go about this, has developed Permanent People into a company with an international presence, something I hadn’t even thought of when starting the business.

But my mantra is that if you are working with someone who wants to change things and look at a role in a new place, why shouldn’t we be able to help them. In short, we have, numerous times.

I think it used to be that people relocated to a different country for the experience of working in a new culture, and to test themselves in a different way and give them a new challenge. And whilst this is still true of many, due to recruitment being a global industry, relocating is very much a serious career move, and with the right frame of mind, can definitely add real value to your CV.

People look at this as an option for loads of reasons, and each person has an individual wish list, but upping sticks and packing your suit cases is now no longer seen as escape, more of a part of your recruitment career, if that’s what you want.

Recently, we have worked with placing recruiters in five continents (Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Oceania) and with a growing list of clients, I don’t think the demand has ever been higher!

Perhaps a surprise for me has been that we are now working with not just UK recruiters (where we’re best known), but candidates looking for a Rec2Rec to help them in either their own location or to move to another place. So with a bit of help and quick knowledge of visa’s etc…we’ve now added that string to our bow!

So with our current list vacancies all over the world, and moving never being easier and with international demand high, there has never been a better time to make the big move!
